Dr David Turner (Chair) is a Senior Lecturer and Criminology Course Leader with the Department of Natural and Social Sciences at the University of Gloucestershire . He has completed a number of research projects recently. His research interests are in the evaluation of policies and programmes that encourage community and voluntary sector to work in partnerships with local government.

He is currently involved in examining how Restorative Justice can be used at the local and community level. David has also previously worked in three local authorities in a research and management capacity covering housing, planning and libraries. Here he played an important role in research design, analysis and presentation of findings to the relevant committees. 

He also managed the research function for Hampshire Constabulary for four years and was responsible for the delivery of numerous research evaluations. These covered a diverse range of issues from the local policing response to the Steven Lawrence enquiry to joint working partnerships with one local authority designed to tackle crime amongst young people.

Pat Thornton (Vice Chair) has served as a local councillor for over 20 years.  She represents the Council on the Partnership and is a past mayor of the town. Pat also represents Cheltenham Borough Council on the Cheltenham Housing Aid Committee and Cheltenham Community Support Centre, the Licensing, Planning, Economy & Business and Overview and Scrutiny Committees, is a Trustee of Pate House (local almshouses), a governor of Gardeners Lane School and on the board of various other charities. 

Alan Thompson (Treasurer) represents GCHQ.  Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) is an intelligence and security organisation that is part of the Civil Service.  It reports to the Foreign Secretary and works closely with the United Kingdom’s other intelligence agencies (commonly known as MI5 and MI6).  Alan originally represented GCHQ in his role as Press Officer but has remained on the board since moving posts.  

Caron Forbes (Company Secretary) Caron joined the Hesters Way Partnership from The Stronger Communities Partnership in February 2008. She is a paid member of staff and incorporates the secretarial role into her daily workload. She is not a Director.

Annette Homer Bromford Housing Association who have played an important role in the recent regeneration of the area.

Philip Smith is vicar of the of St Aidan and St Silas Church part of the West Cheltenham Team Ministry. 

Jos Adsett is  Head Teacher at Cheltenham Kingsmead  School  that is a mixed 11-18 school that serves the Hesters Way Estate and surrounding areas.  The school has some 160 pupils on roll and in total, and 20 staff. 

Russel Ellicott - is Deputy Head Teacher at Pates Grammar School  a voluntary aided selective mixed 11-18 school that serves the greater Cheltenham area.  The school has some 970 pupils on roll and in total, almost 70 staff. 

Ryan Barkle - Represents Gloucestershire Housing Association who have played an important role in the recent regeneration of the area.
