Hesters Way Partnership (HWP) has been providing community development services in greater Hesters Way and Springbank in partnership with various Housing Associations, Cheltenham Borough Council (CBC) and the PCT since 2005. The current Community Development Worker is Celia Wear (see contacts us for details) who volunteered for HWP as a student of community development from the University of Gloucestershire. 

In 2009 HWP's community development remit expanded to include Fiddlers Green and St Marks and in 2010 to include Rowanfield and St Peters. Many individuals and organisations visit us for advice, ideas and research.

Celia's predecessor Emma Kinder worked on the following projects in Springbank until early 2008;

Consultation Exercises; Springfields Park design sponsored by CBC, Springbank Centre questionnaire, rapid health needs assessment sponsored by the PCT

Funding; £10, 950 was raised for the Community Garden project at Springbank Community Resource Centre completed in 2009

Supporting Local Groups; including Friends of Springbank, Neighbourhood Watch and Park Watch

Activities; Family Drop In, Bingo and Indoor Bowls (2007), Line dancing, slimming club and Children's Library (2008)

Events; Graffiti Art project, Springbank Centre Opening event, Christmas Grotto, Henley Road Summer Fete
